I am Jasmine Sweet, a lifestyle blogger in Nashville, TN. In this space, I share a variety of content from fashion to educational thought pieces to business tips and lifestyle and travel content.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Memphis. I also have an MBA from Union University. For the past ten years, I’ve worked in Digital Marketing and Communications for several different industries that include the financial sector, healthcare, higher education, music entertainment industry. My work has taken me to the 2019 Grammys with a client and on various panels to speak about social media and digital marketing.
I have also been a freelance blogger for various outlets including the Tennessee Department of Tourism, Forbes, Huffington Post, Southern Weddings and Everything Girls Love to name a few.
Now that we have that out of the way, I’ll tell you a little more about what’s beneath the candy wrapper. I am 32 years old. I’m a mom! I love God. I love my family. I can draw. I can sing. I can dance. I love laughing. I love working out. I love public speaking! I have two sisters and three brothers. My mom is one of my best friends! I lost my dad to congestive heart failure two years ago. Sigh. The struggle is real. I am married to a Godsend, Alex Wesley Sweet!!! I love Ghirardelli chocolate. I have naturally curly hair. I wear 22-inch weave during the winter months! I have more than enough BEST FRIENDS. I am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I’m all about living my best life and sharing it with friends.
I started blogging over 9 years ago. To read one of my first ones, click here Ha! I blogged under an alias (Carmen Clay) because I was so anxious about what my audience would think. Then, my blog turned into my portfolio so that I could apply for jobs! Now, my blog is my life! I am pouring my all into this.
